MOST EMOTIONAL MOMENTS FROM THIS SEASON

MOST EMOTIONAL MOMENTS THIS SEASON

Just like that another season has come to an end(I know that Club world Cup is remaining). This season will always be remembered for years to come for so many stories that it brought itself with. From memorable debuts to fairytales and from historic victories to near misses and heartbreaks, this season truly had it all.

1) THE FAIRYTALES AND UNDERDOGS

This season will forever be remembered for the underdog stories, so many clubs broke their trophy droughts this season.

Spurs won trophy after 17 years, and more than Spurs it felt so good to see Heung Min Son win a trophy for Tottenham, his loyalty paid off finally.

Crystal Palace won their first ever major trophy by winning the FA Cup and will participate in Europa League next season.

Bologna Won a major trophy after 51 years, they beat AC Milan in the Coppa Italia final.

Newcastle won a trophy after 51 years. They beat Liverpool in Carabao Cup final.

Go Ahead Eagles won a trophy for the first time in 92 years after beating AZ Alkmaar in KNVB cup final.

Paris Saint Germain won their first ever Champions League Title after a dominant victory over Inter Milan
(here are some forgotten legendary UCL moments).

And there were many more such moments.

In all honesty it was kind of a breath of freash air to see new clubs winning a trophy, other wise, nearly every season we see the same clubs winning.

2) LAST DERBY AND LAST MATCH AT GOODISON PARK

Goodison Park, home of Everton is one of the oldest and one of the most famous stadiums in football history, it has been Everton's home stadium since 1892. The 133 year old stadium boasted a rich history and had seen everything, the highs, the lows, the glory days and the struggling ones, but now its time for Everton fans to say goodbye to it as they will now play in their new stadium.

We witnessed the last Merseyside Derby(Liverpool vs Everton) at Goodison Park this year, and oh boy that was such a dramatic end.

Beto, for Everton scored the first to give Everton the lead, but eventually Liverpool scored twice and the score was 2-1, up until the 90+8th minute, when James Tarkowski scored a great goal, the last goal of Merseyside derby at Goodison Park, that roar of the crowd at the end was absolutely insane.

Everton played their final ever match at Goodison Park against Southampton where they won 2-0, Iliman Ndiaye scored both goals, thus ended the beautiful era of Goodison Park.

3) LEGENDS BID ADIEU

Many club legends said goodbye to their respective clubs.

After 13 amazing years Luka Modric bid an emotional farewell to Real Madrid supporters. The midfield maestro arrived at Real Madrid from Tottenham Hotspur and had an illustrious career with the Spanish giants. He won 4 la Liga titles, 2 Copa Del Rey tiltles,6 UEFA champions leagues , 5 UEFA Super Cups, 5 Super Copa De Espana titles, 5 FIFA Club World Cups, 1 FIFA Intercontinental Cups and of course the prestigious Ballon D'or.

Lucas Vazquez also waved goodbye to Real Madrid.

Kevin De Bruyne, after 10 sensational years announced that he will be leaving the club.

He is arguably the greatest midfielder of the modern era. In his time at Man City, he won 6 Premier League titles, 2 FA Cups, 5 EFL cups, 3 community shields, 1 Champions League, 1 FIFA Club World Cup and 2 times player of the season.

Thomas Muller also played his final game for FC Bayern Munich.

Muller will always be remembered as one of the most intelligent midfielders ever with an insane work rate as well. In his remarkable 25 year journey with Bayern Munich, Muller won 2 Champions League, 6 DFB Pokal titles, 8 German Supercups, 2 UEFA Super Cups and an incredible 13 Bundesliga titles.

4) PSG FANS PAY TRIBUTE TO LUIS ENRIQUE'S DAUGHTER

A few years back PSG's manager Luis Enrique unfortunately lost his daughter Xana to bone cancer.

So, right after full time whistle when PSG won the Champions League final, PSG fans unfurled a tifo of Enrique with his daughter, it was recreation of his famous photo from 2015 when he and his daughter put Barcelona flag in centre of pitch when Barca won the champions league.

 5) FRANCESCO ACERBI : BEAT CANCER AND DEPRESSION TO REACH UCL FINAL

In 2013, Francesco Acerbi was diagnosed with testicular cancer, he fell into depression and anxiety.

However he eventually got back, got his tumour removed and started playing football again.

Ultimately Simione Inzaghi signed him for Inter Milan, Acerbi played 23 games in Serie A and 9 in champions League.

He also scored a last minute equalizer against Barcelona in Champions League semi final to keep Inter milan alive in the competition. Inter eventually reached the final. Acerbi's story is nothing short of inspiring.

According to me those were one of the most emotional moments of this season, as I already mentioned people will always remember this footballing season with so many unexpected things happening, I think the last time we had kind of a similar season was way back in 2004 when we had similar underdog stories like Porto winning the Champions League, Greece winning Euros, Tunisia winning the African Cup of Nations etc.

I really do hope the teams that have found back success this season can maintain it, which is quite difficult as the difference between the bigger and smaller teams just keeps getting bigger, so it will be really interesting to see if these teams can keep up their performance next season.

Why Defending the Champions League Title Is So Rare: A Look at the Past 20 Seasons

INTRODUCTION We all know that the UEFA Champions League is the greatest club competition of all time, and it is the hardest to win as well. We hv the Champions league final coming up in a few days: PSG VS INTER. These are relatively new teams(of course Inter is playing 2nd final in 3 years but still).  But I had a question hwo often does it happen that the winner retains the title and does that club perform on a similar level. Well we all know that Real Madrid have won three titles in a row in the seasons 2015-16, 2016-17 and 2017-18. We are going to look at the last 20 Champions league winners and see how teams fared next season. In the last 20 Champions League campaigns, Real Madrid have been the most successful club winning it on 6 occasions and the ONLY team to defend the title in the last 20 UCL campaigns when they did a 3 peat as mentioned earlier. In fact they are the ONLY club in the Champions League era(when it was renamed to Champions league from European Cup) to e...

Hidden Gems of 2025:Most underrated and overlooked players this season

INTRODUCTION- In a campaign packed with breathtaking goals, record-breaking statistics, and super-stardom controversy, it's easy to forget the unsung heroes—the players who don't grab the headlines but are indispensable every time they put on their boots. While the limelight remains glued to the typical superstars, there's a whole cast of footballers who've been putting in performances that deserve great accolades, yet go under the radar. These are the guys who don't always go viral on social media but without whom their team would be half as good. They make the hard tackles, set the pace, make intelligent passes, and open up space for the stars to sparkle. They might not chalk up crazy goal counts, but they add balance, brains, and grit to every game. Be it a full-back shutting down world-class wingers week in and week out, a midfielder who quietly dominates the match, or a striker who labors tirelessly off the ball—these underappreciated players are the pillars ...
